Amy Oliver, Senior Paramedic Team Leader (SPTL), has been recognised by colleagues for her continuous efforts and proactiveness amongst fellow colleagues and with patients.

In the last 12 months, Amy has supported training days, taken part in contact shifts with new paramedics and technicians, acted up as senior paramedic, as well as helped allied health professionals to promote the paramedic role to 14-16 years olds through an educational film.

She successfully completed the aspiring team leader programme in East Lancashire earlier this year and has since continued to support her colleagues and help integrate new starters into the team.

Amy’s ambition to strive further and get involved in different initiatives contributed to her winning the ‘Rising Star’ award at our annual Star Awards earlier this year. This award recognises colleagues who have demonstrated high levels of excellence towards the start of their NWAS career and celebrates those that are striving to develop further.

Jodi Flanagan, fellow Senior Paramedic Team Leader, said, “Amy is confidently becoming a wonderful young woman and fantastic paramedic who people are looking up to and aspiring to be.  She consistently works hard in all areas of her job and is well-liked throughout the area she covers.
