The Inclusion Champion Award was a new addition to this year’s awards and recognises someone who champions a cause with sustained and passionate commitment to enhance the service for the benefit of others.
Shahid Ali, Head of Partnerships and Integration, was crowned the winner. He was nominated by Head of Communications and Engagement Julie Treharne and Head of PMO Alison Ormerod. They said, “We nominated Shahid for all the fantastic work he does with charitable organisations and how he helps the directorate to better understand the religious acts, practices and beliefs of the different communities of the North West. Shahid rarely tells people about his work, but when we can persuade him to do so, his caring, compassionate and selfless attitude is both humbling and impactful.”
Well done Shahid!
