Emma said: “I accepted the challenge because I wanted to push myself but was not quite brave enough to do all at once given a Greater Manchester ambulance covers an average of 82.5 miles in a shift! So I ran and did some swimming over five weeks, fitting it in around working full time.
“I completed 84 miles and £152 for North West Ambulance Service’s charity. I really enjoyed the challenge and was so glad I could help raise money for such a good cause.”
The Outrun an Ambulance challenge is a shared initiative with other NHS ambulance charities, including our charity, with six participating regions taking part.
Well done Emma!
