The Innovation Champion Award was another new addition at this year’s Star Awards and honours someone who finds innovative ways to test, change and improve the way we deliver our services. Someone who acts with compassion and kindness and isn’t afraid to try something new. Paramedic Jack Watson was presented with the award.
He was nominated by Adele Markland, Senior Improvement Manager, for the concept, ‘Taxi in 5’, he came up with. Adele said, “A tool in which clinicians use five key questions to decide whether a taxi is appropriate to convey a patient to hospital. Jack has recruited ambassadors to support the project, to follow in his footsteps. Jack is so passionate about making a difference. He will make a great future leader at NWAS.”
Congrats Jack!
